Rogers Update 10/1/2026
Dear Friends,
In just a few weeks on Saturday, November 14th, Barnabas Enrichment Ministries will once again hold its Small Church Conference in Indiana. All the exciting activities will take place in the wonderful facilities of Grace Baptist Church located at 2818 S Park Road in Kokomo, IN 46902. The conference is titled, “Enjoying Intimacy with God!” Our BEM personnel will be leading fascinating breakout sessions, and we once again welcome Jon Beight and Joe Humrichous who will also be speaking. It is always a privilege to have them.
I believe this will be one of the most important conferences that BEM has ever held. It is based on meetings with pastors and congregations where we asked, “What should be the emphasis of these Small Church Conferences that will effectively help God's people serve the Lord in His power?” The sessions in this conference are designed to do just that! Here is what will take place during this exciting time of worship, praise, and fellowship:

In addition to the schedule above, there will be programs for the children and teens during the adult sessions. A noon meal will be provided along with snacks and other items! Important… there is no charge for this conference. We don't want anyone to miss out because of finances. There will be an offering taken during this precious time together. The offering is an opportunity for those who want to help us continue this important ministry, however, there is no pressure on anyone to give. I am also happy to share that BEM's Technology Missionary will be on-site to assist with your tech needs! Bring your laptops for a free “tune-up” or repair—Philip will be available all day to help.
It is often thought that conferences are just for pastors or church leaders. The Small Church Conference is for all the people of God who desire to serve Him! So, plan on coming and bring the family! The Adventures of John and Beabea Rogers!
Please, keep praying for "Jim!" We (including Beabea) continue to have the most interesting conversations. If he does come to the Lord, I guarantee Heaven will never be boring! Of course, Heaven will never be boring because of Jesus, but people like Jim will most certainly add a little spice.
Pray for the many counseling sessions that I am now involved with. The number of them has increased as word of mouth and previous contacts open the doors to serious, important conversations. There is also a developing intensity in my counseling situations. It seems there is an increase darking in the world that is affecting people's lives, both saved and unsaved. That shouldn't surprise us! Spiritual war is very real in our world and lives. God is just as real, and He is the hope of humanity in the midst of evil. Pray for me, that God will continue to give wisdom that can only come from Him!
My most recent book, The Daystar Conspiracy, is opening all kinds of opportunities to talk… not just locally, but to people across the country. The book is a fictional story based on biblical prophecy. Pray God will continue to use it and give me wisdom as I share with others the fantastic news that the King is coming!
Health is almost always a part of the conversation when involving those who are growing older! I find that true in my own life. I recently had a very good week, followed by a very challenging week, followed by an even more challenging week, followed by a better week. My spine seems to enjoy on again, off again living. God is so gracious to let me continue serving Him. I think of a message I preached in several churches titled, When God puts you where you don't want to be! I think I am finally learning that wherever God puts me, I want to be there! It's the best place to be! I get to watch God work if I stay out of His way. Of course, He still works even when I try to mess it up (not intentionally—well mostly), but I find it easier and much more joyful to be a willing part of what our Lord is doing!
Curious about what God has ahead… Confident it will be good! (Romans 8:28)
