Rogers Update 2/7/2025
February 7, 2025
Dear Friends,
It is always exciting to share (with those who care about you) some special event that has happened, especially when you have waited a long time for it to happen. I have had several moments like that in my life. For example, graduating from Bible college, marrying my beautiful Beabea, turning ten years old! (That was before marrying Beabea!) They were all important events in my life and felt very monumental at the time. Now, a new “monumental” has happened. I am pleased to announce that a book I have worked on for many years has finally been published! It is a novel, and it is titled, The Daystar Conspiracy.
The book is a fictional story based on biblical prophecy. It is also an explanation of the thinking processes that lead to good or evil actions and the world views of people that choose to do those actions. Furthermore, the book is an examination of the spiritual world and how God and Satan view humanity and the future. The story also teaches Bible doctrine and clarifies events in prophecy. My desire in writing it was that it would be filled with Biblical truth.
The study of prophecy is a great privilege. However, we can easily become casual about the suffering in people’s lives, especially those who are left behind as we rejoice in Christ’s return and the final destruction of evil. We tend to forget the horrors that awaits those who remain here on earth as they live and suffer in the Tribulation. These are fictional people in this novel, but the Tribulation story written by God is real, and there will be real people who live it. They will have to face this terrible nightmare ahead if they do not come to Christ before it all begins.
The designers at the publishers based the cover of the novel on Revelation 12 where Satan and his angels go to war with Michael and his angels. They wanted it to be somewhat ambiguous and mysterious so that it would draw a potential reader in. Also, the designers didn't want the book to appear as a Christian story, but more like an adventure novel so it could be given to people who do not know the Lord without putting them on the defense.
The novel is actually three books; however, both the publishers and I wanted to avoid the books being published separately. We didn’t want anyone getting a hold of one of the copies and not have the complete story. That might create confusion on the part of the reader. My desire in writing this book was to create a novel where people faced real human challenges in their lives as well as a story with plenty of action to draw the reader in. I also wanted the book to teach Bible doctrine without it being too obvious. Ultimately, I sought to ensure that the way to know God personally was made very clear as the story unfolded. There are many times in the novel where individuals come to Jesus for eternal life. There are also many times where the way of salvation is presented in addition to that. It is my prayer that God will use this book to bring precious people to Christ for salvation as well as encourage believers. Will you pray with me that God will do that? (I have given copies of the book to neighbors and staff in the apartment complex where we live. I have already had some very interesting conversations with these dear friends!)
This week I read about a 22-year-old Israeli staff sergeant who was killed while rescuing another soldier. This happened during the infamous October 7 attack by Hamas. Later, his grieving family found a notebook of his. Inside, he had written some words during his intense military training. Exhausted in that difficult time of exertion as he prepared for war, he wrote, “This isn’t sweat, it’s the tears of 2000 years.” This book I wrote isn’t just about the Lord coming back and setting up His Kingdom on earth, although that will be wonderful. This is a story centered in the love God has for both Jew and Arab in His desire to redeem, and how the Lord will solve this centuries old conflict of Abraham’s sons and daughters.
There are moments in a believer’s life that he senses God is clearly leading him to do something that has true eternal value. This book is that for me. I wish I could give everyone I know a copy of this novel, but financially that is difficult at this time. If you are able to purchase the book, it is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, as well as other websites. You can order paperback or digital eBook versions. The novel may also be ordered through any bookstore. Organizations can order the book in bulk at (866) 909-2665 or marc@salemauthorservices.com.

If you read the novel and believe it has value in the lives of people, would you consider doing a review of the book on Amazon and/or other websites? (If you don’t like the book, please don’t feel any pressure to leave a review!!!!) Finally, I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers for my health and for Beabea who takes care of me. I just received word that I do not have cancer! Praise the Lord! I am still dealing with pain, but the Lord is with us, and by His grace, we continue to serve Him! We are making plans for this new year as we explore ways to serve the Lord. Actually, we don’t have to do much exploring. God keeps coming up with different ways on His own without my help. Can you imagine that?!.
Love ya, my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord!
