Rogers Update 8/30/2024

Dear Friends,
What will you be doing during the early days of November? Praying fervently for the election of those who will "rule" over us? Obviously, our hope is not in earthly leaders and their capability to solve issues and protect us! True hope, the only real hope, is found in the God of eternity who rules in the hearts of men! He, alone, deserves our hope, and He alone deserves our worship! In the midst of the presidential race with all its excitement, as the nation searches for its political hero, I want to invite you to join us in worshipping the Lord of Glory who is truly worthy of humanity's adoration!
On November 2nd, BEM will be hosting another Small Church Conference. I always enjoy these Small Church Conferences, but I am espcially excited about this particular conference. Why? The flier that was just mailed out for the conference says it best:
"We believe strongly that the local church was designed by God for ministry. We further believe that the church and God's people were designed for worship in ministry. Worship is more than just having a Sunday service with good singing. The Bible teaches that worship is not just what we think and feel or sing, but involves what we do and how we live. It is not religious actions, but relational service to God in all areas of our lives."
I really want to encourage you to come to this particular conference. It is designed for more interactive discussion with extra breakout sessions. This will give the leadership and people of our local churches an opportunity to share with each other what the Lord has been teaching them. I am looking forward to learning as well as teaching!
We invite the whole church family to come! Teens and Children will have their own services and fun activities. As always, there is no charge for this conference. Snacks and meals will be provided. Free books and materials will be given to each family. A love offering will be taken to help with cost if a person is able to give, but don't let finances keep you from coming.
