Keller Update 12/23/21
December 23, 2021
December 2021 Christmas Greetings to our Family & Friends!
This season gives me pause to reflect on God’s goodness & grace. Both Thanksgiving (just past) and Christmas (on our heels) make my heart, mind and life fully satisfied with what God has and is doing.
I am so grateful that He is faithful and kind to each of us. He has been so in the past and praise God that He can be trusted to do so in the future-forever. The future certainly will be good for those who trust Him and have received Jesus Christ into their lives. I know I may have experienced more mercy and grace than many others, but when I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of ten, I had no idea what all that meant and how good He would be to me, even when I least deserved it. Come to think of it, I have never deserved it. I am so thankful for my health – even in May when I spent a few days in the hospital with a Crohn’s flareup.
Three things come to my mind: The three ‘Great G’s’ in life. 1) Be grateful to God! 2) Be gracious to others! 3) Be generous whenever possible! I know I can use a ‘check-up’ and improve in all of these areas, but my heart is bent in that direction when I think of God and others.
We were excited that our granddaughter, Alice, had the opportunity to participate in a Summer Missions Trip with Cru to Croatia. She is a Jr. at Kansas University. Sadie started college at Washburn University, so it has been fun having her in Topeka and getting to spend some extra time with her. Kristen is a 9th grade student at Olathe North, a school of over 2100 students. She made the freshman “A” basketball team and also plays Club Soccer as a super goalie. Nick moved to Topeka and is enjoying his job at RetireWise Tax & Wealth Advisors. Travis & Rachel and Debby & Greg continue with their busy lives and are always a blessing to us.
We’ve been involved in various ministries this past year. It definitely was different and challenging for everyone. I have done some preaching, had a funeral for a young man, have been involved in some consultation with various pastors and Jeanne & I have had opportunities to teach in Bethel’s Awana ministry. We enjoyed celebrating Bethel’s 60th Anniversary. We also have enjoyed hosting missionaries in our home. Jeanne & I will be heading to Indiana for a BEM Board Meeting in January. Barnabas Enrichment Ministries is in the middle of planning a Pastor’s Conference for a group of Pastors in Utah in the Spring of 2022.
We love to travel and have had opportunities to share Christ with those we met along the way. This past year gave us the opportunity to visit Jeanne’s sister in MN as well as a few other short trips; to Praise Fest in Branson for Jeanne’s birthday with her brother, Ted and Pam, The Omaha Zoo, a B&B in St. Joe, MO with friends and recently The Auschwitz Presentation in KC. A summer highlight was our first trip to Glacier National Park after a family wedding for a great-nephew in the Black Hills. A wonderful time with our Keller relatives. We finished up with a drive thru Yellowstone and the Tetons. Jeanne and I enjoy our part-time jobs at O’Reilly’s and the Nystrom Law Firm. We believe even these areas and contacts are opportunities to be a witness and an opportunity to share Christ.
We are so thankful for each and every one of you!
Let us know how we may pray for you…
May God bless you!
